Junior Recruiter

Summary

At Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, we build big, and we need people to build the teams behind it. We’re looking for a Junior Recruiter who runs towards learn the craft of recruiting from people who’ve done it for years. This isn’t a “post and pray” desk job. It’s a high-energy, cold-calling, pick-up-the-phone-and-make-it-happen seat.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Source candidates relentlessly. Heavy candidate sourcing is the core of this seat, using job boards, LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and the phone to build a pipeline that never runs dry
• Cold calling. Pick up the phone, start conversations with passive candidates, and get good at it fast
• Own a full requisition workload. Manage a full desk of open reqs at once, keeping every role posted, visible, and moving
• Partner with hiring managers to understand what they need and how to find it
• Screen candidates and decide who moves forward and who doesn’t
• Join salary conversations, setting expectations and helping close the deal
• Deliver administrative support by keeping the ATS updated, scheduling interviews, and tracking every candidate so nothing slips through the cracks
• Juggle a busy workload without dropping the ball

What You Bring

• 1+ year of recruiting experience (agency, in-house, staffing, or sourcing)
• Comfort with high-volume outreach and cold calling
• Strong verbal and written communication
• College degree preferred, but not required. We care about what you can do, not just what’s on paper
