Junior Risk Analyst

The Junior Risk Analyst plays a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks within the organization. Your responsibilities will include analyzing data to identify potential risks, preparing detailed risk reports, and collaborating with senior analysts to develop risk management strategies. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data to identify potential financial risks of subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports.
  • Collaborate with analysts to develop risk management strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest market trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and the ability to respond swiftly to emerging risks.
  • Participate in risk assessment meetings and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Provide actionable insights to help steer the organization's risk management policies in the right direction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment techniques and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at conveying complex information effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide actionable insights to help steer the organization's risk management policies in the right direction.
Education/Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with risk management software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex risk-related concepts to stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in risk analysis or management.

Travel Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, training, and events.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.
  • Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
