Wallace and Stratton Real Estate Group – Auckland, North Island
Help us build the future of real estate technology.
Wallace Real Estate is building its own internal technology platform from the ground up.
We’re creating software designed around how real estate agents actually work, automating admin, improving prospecting and follow-up, streamlining compliance and operations, and using AI to help our people sell more property and deliver a better customer experience.
We already have a lead developer building the platform. Now we want to move faster.
We’re looking for a talented Junior Software Developer & AI Engineer to work directly alongside our developer, leadership, admin, and agents to rapidly build, test and ship new features.
You’ll be shipping real features into production that our team actually uses and working alongside staff from all areas of the business.
No two days are the same, and the following is what you could be working on:
AI-powered workflows and automations for our admin team
CRM and contact-management functionality
Wally our AI Assistant for our agents
Prospecting and lead-generation tools
Integrations with third-party platforms and APIs
Rapid prototypes of new ideas.
Training and onboarding new staff to the system
We’re looking for someone who:
Loves building things
Has experience with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools)
Has experience with modern web development
Understands APIs, databases and integrations
Can take a problem and work out how to solve it
Always willing to ask questions, take feedback and explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Can work independently but also take direction
Experience with technologies such TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Git.
Why Wallace?
We’re a fast-growing New Zealand real estate company with an ambitious technology strategy.
Rather than waiting for traditional real estate software companies to solve our problems, we’re building the technology ourselves.
You’ll sit close to the people making the decisions, work directly with our lead developer and see your work being used in the real world almost immediately.
For the right person, there is enormous opportunity to grow as the technology team expands.
The type of person we are looking for:
You might be a recent computer science/software engineering graduate, still studying or self-taught.
You’ve built side projects nobody asked you to build.
You’d rather create a working prototype today than spend three weeks writing a document about what could potentially be built.
If that sounds like you, we want to see what you’ve built.
