Junior Software Developer

We are looking for a passionate and driven Junior Software Developer to join our team in Gqeberha. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent university graduate or a developer with up to 3 years of experience looking to accelerate their career.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to design, develop and maintain software.
• Work across the full stack, implementing features from the database level through to the frontend UI.
• Participate in code reviews, learn from other developers and contribute to technical discussions.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing software applications.
• Continuously learn new technologies and apply them to client challenges.

Basic Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you need a solid grounding in software engineering principles and specific technologies:
• You must understand Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and basic Relational Database Design (how tables link together).
• A strong understanding of how web applications work from front to back (full-stack developer).
• Experience in C# (.NET Framework/.NET Core) or Java.
• You must be comfortable writing SQL queries and working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Additional

Nice to Have

• Experience or familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Exposure to containerisation tools like Docker.
• Understanding of version control (Git).
