Junior Software Engineer in Hotel Tech

Journey is a leading hotel marketing agency, revolutionising the luxury hospitality and travel industry through creativity, incomparable Industry knowledge, and digital disruption.

Working with the best luxury hotels and resorts in the world, empowering growth and increasing revenue through innovation, collaboration, and technology solutions.

Before we get started, there are three things you need to know.

At Journey, we will always have an entrepreneurial spirit. We started off as a team of six and have never forgotten our humble roots. To thrive you will need to embrace this mindset. We all roll up our sleeves, we help each other out, we admit if we are struggling, we lean on one another and we leave ego at the door. That is very important.

Everyone plays a part. We are a business of collaboration and sharing, be it ideas, time, skills, knowledge, energy or snacks...we are in it together. Our clients are considered part of our business and we treat them with the same inclusive respect and consideration.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS OPPORTUNITY IS BASED IN POZNAN, POLAND, AND REQUIRES BEING ON-SITE IN THE OFFICE. YOU NEED FULL RIGHT TO WORK ALREADY IN PLACE TO WORK IN POLAND.

You'll work end-to-end. That means:

  • Understanding what hotels actually need

  • Building features that solve real problems

  • Testing your own work (we know how quality improves speed)

  • Deploying to production (you'll push your code live everyday)

  • Monitoring how it performs (we love graphs and metrics)

You'll work with modern tech, use LLMs and agentic coding tools responsibly, and learn software engineering craft from people who care about it.

You'll collaborate with product, design, data, and commercial teams. You'll ask questions, challenge assumptions, and own outcomes — not just tasks.

  • Some experience coding (internships, personal projects, bootcamp — we don't care how you got here).

  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn. You don't know everything, and that's fine.

  • Understanding of web development.

  • Ability to work independently but know when to ask for help.

  • Interest in understanding the "why" behind features, not just the "what."

Nice to have: Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, or any backend framework.

  • You will join a team of disruptive thinkers, digital specialists and tech pioneers.

  • High quality hardware and development tools.

  • Regular company off-sites.
