Junior Software Engineer
Summary
This Junior Software Engineer role involves full-stack development with a backend focus, utilizing technologies such as Next.js, React, TypeScript, and cloud services like AWS. The candidate will build APIs and work with SQL/NoSQL databases in an onsite environment.
Salary: £55,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements:- 2-4 years of professional software development experience
- Solid experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Comfortable working across the full stack with a backend leaning
- Experience building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Understanding of SSR/SSG
- SQL and/or NoSQL database experience
- Some cloud exposure, preferably AWS, and Docker
- Solid grasp of web fundamentals including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
- Nice to have: Go or C# backend experience, microservices, Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD, OAuth/JWT/SSO
- Build and maintain features across the stack, with a focus on backend logic and APIs
- Work closely with senior engineers to turn requirements into shipped features
- Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs and backend services
- Help keep applications performant, secure, and accessible
- Take part in code reviews as part of a collaborative team
