Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Salary: ₱25,000 – ₱30,000 per month
About the role
A Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of software and hardware systems by effectively executing test plans, identifying defects, and supporting issue resolution. The role focuses on building a strong foundation in software testing principles while contributing to the successful delivery of self-service kiosk applications. Through collaboration with the QA and development teams, the Junior QA Engineer helps improve product quality by accurately reporting issues, validating fixes, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.
Key responsibilities
Collaborate with the QA team to understand project requirements and deliverables, with a focus on self-service kiosk hardware and software
Create, review, and update test plans and test cases for kiosk applications and related systems
Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for self-service kiosk applications and related systems
Conduct manual testing on both hardware and software components to ensure product quality
Identify, document, and track hardware and software defects and issues
Work closely with the development team to reproduce, analyze, and support resolution of reported issues
Provide feedback and report test results to contribute to product improvement
Learn and apply best practices in software testing and quality assurance
Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to QA
Ensure compliance with eTap safety, security, and information security protocols
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Basic understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues accurately
Willingness to learn and grow in both software and hardware testing environments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Passion for quality assurance and improving software reliability
Familiarity with or interest in self-service kiosk systems is an advantage
Exposure to test automation tools and scripting languages is a plus
