Position Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Software Tester with 1.5+ years of experience to join our QA team and contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about software testing. You will work closely with developers and product teams to test new features, report bugs, and help deliver stable and high-performing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and maintaining test cases and test plans based on product requirements and user stories.
- Perform manual testing for web and mobile platforms, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and document results accurately.
- Execute responsive testing and ensure compatibility across devices and platforms.
- Log defects clearly and accurately using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or ClickUp.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand features and testing requirements.
- Participate in test cycles during development sprints and product releases.
- Assist in validating fixes and performing post-deployment checks to ensure release quality.
- Document test results, prepare reports, and maintain testing records for team reference.
- Continuously learn new testing tools, techniques, and frameworks under the guidance of senior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1.5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing.
- Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Familiarity with various types of testing: Functional, Regression, Retesting, Responsive, and API testing.
- Exposure to tools like Postman for API testing and bug tracking platforms (e.g., JIRA, ClickUp).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify edge cases and inconsistencies.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for documentation and team collaboration.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
