Job summary
The junior system administrator is responsible for providing first-line IT support and maintaining day-to-day infrastructure operations across group entities. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and Microsoft 365 issues, supporting server and virtualization environments, and ensuring smooth IT operations in line with company standards and SLAs.
Key responsibilities
IT support & operations
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
Handle service requests and incident tickets within defined SLAs
Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user access issues
Support onboarding/offboarding activities and user account management
Microsoft & identity management
Manage users, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Azure AD
Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online
Configure MFA, licenses, and basic security settings
Support group policy administration and identity management activities
Infrastructure & systems
Monitor Windows and Linux servers and perform routine health checks
Support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
Assist in patching, antivirus management, and endpoint security compliance
Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, or similar
Network & security support
Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VPN, and general network connectivity issues
Support firewall configurations and remote access solutions
Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices
IT asset & documentation
Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle records
Document technical issues, resolutions, and operational procedures
Support IT standardization initiatives across group companies
Required experience & skills
Experience
4–5 years of experience in IT support or junior system administration roles
Technical skills
Windows and Linux basic administration
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
Microsoft 365 administration
Basic Azure / AWS knowledge
VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewall basics)
Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, etc.)

Education & certifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or equivalent experience
