Junior Systems Administrator
NewSalary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year
Requirements:- A-levels or equivalent, with strong IT, English and Maths skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Basic networking knowledge
- Experience managing Windows PCs and servers within an Active Directory environment
- Experience with Linux, particularly Debian/Ubuntu package management, web servers, NFS and SSH
- An understanding of system security and business continuity
- Basic scripting experience in Bash and/or PowerShell
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Experience with PKI and certificate management
- Deploy software and administer user groups and operating system policies across our IT network
- Monitor services, applications and hardware, identifying and resolving issues
- Install, configure and maintain software, hardware, networking and application components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and networking problems
- Manage secure data storage, backups and data recovery
- Implement security best practices to help protect against cyber-attacks and security breaches
- Support compliance with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus
- Document internal IT processes and systems
- Provide technical support to employees and external clients
- Set up employee workstations and IT equipment
- Support ad-hoc IT projects and tasks as required
