Junior Technician
Summary
Performs daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and setup of production machines in a medical manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability and adherence to safety standards.
Job Scope / Responsibilities:
- Perform daily operation, setup, and basic troubleshooting of production machines and equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities according to scheduled maintenance plans.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers in machine repair, improvement projects, and equipment upgrades.
- Conduct inspection, testing, and calibration of equipment to ensure machines operate within required specifications.
- Identify machine abnormalities and report equipment issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
- Support production teams in resolving equipment-related problems during manufacturing operations.
- Carry out machine changeover, adjustment, and setup activities when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, machine breakdown reports, and spare parts usage.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and organized according to workplace standards.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, safety, and equipment reliability.
Requirements:
- ITE Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, mechanical components, or automation systems.
- Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance work.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or standby support when required.
- Good teamwork, communication skills, and a positive learning attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with production machines, sensors, motors, pneumatic systems, or automation equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with workplace safety practices and quality standards.
