We have an exciting full-time position available at Versus Socks. We are looking for a Junior to Mid-level Graphic Designer to join our young, dynamic and active team.

This role would suit someone who is knowledgeable in the field, driven, organised and enjoys a healthy lifestyle.

Summary
As a Graphic Designer, you will be required to create designs for custom sock clients and manage the process from start to finish.

What your role would be

• Create custom sock designs for customers according to their briefs.
  
• Daily communications with recurring and new clients.
• Make the required changes until a design is approved.
  
• Manage your workflow to ensure all deadlines are met.
  
• Do physical samples to ensure the colours match the approved artwork.
  
• Redraw logos or artwork where required.
  
• Prepare artwork for print or knit sampling according to the printer or knitting specifications.
  
• Handing over jobs to the production team.
  
• Managing the custom process from designing to sampling to final product and admin around it.
  

What experience and skills you need for the role

• Excellent communication skills are essential.
  
• Ability to follow exact design instructions according to a brief.
  
• A well-organised and precise approach to work.
  
• Good knowledge of Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator, Photoshop.
  
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
  
• Creativity in graphic designing.
  
• Be an excellent team player and fit in with the rest of the team.
  

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design (BA Degree or Diploma)
  
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a graphic design position.
  
• An interest in sports and the retail industry will be advantageous.
  

Work Environment
📍 Versus Socks Head Office, Techno Park, Stellenbosch
🕒 Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
