Summary
Designs underground utility systems (water, drainage, etc.) using CAD/BIM tools like Civil 3D, creating 2D/3D models and resolving conflicts for infrastructure projects.
- · Development of conceptual and detailed design of dry utility systems in accordance with standards.
- · Develop designs including alignments, profiles, sections and trench design in coordination.
- · Knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles
- · Prepare engineering drawings, 2D and 3D designs of utilities and volumetric analysis
- · Contribute to quality assurance/quality control processes.
- · Develop 3D design models for conflict analysis and resolution in Civil3D.
- · Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- · 2+ years of experience in municipal and/or transportation infrastructure projects.
- · Ability to design dry utility systems
- · Experience with underground infrastructure design (water, sanitary, storm, drainage) will be an asset.
- · Working knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D & AutoCAD) will be an asset.
- · Working knowledge of BIM process, development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud (ACC) will be an asset.
- · Strong communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- · High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
- · Ability to learn on the job and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
