Junior Windows Server Specialist
The Junior Windows Server Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and integrating Windows Server technologies within the corporate IT infrastructure, ensuring system integrity, service continuity, security, and optimal performance.
The candidate will act as an entry-level systems engineer within the Infrastructure team, assisting with routine system updates, administration, active directory configuration, and security patching under the guidance of senior team members.
System Administration & Support: Assists in the daily operational administration and monitoring of Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policies, File Servers, DFS, DHCP, DNS, and print services.
Infrastructure Deployment: Supports the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of server systems, client workstations, and peripheral equipment.
Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Diagnoses and resolves system errors, performance issues, and bottlenecks, providing 1st and 2nd level support and collaborating with external vendors for complex resolutions.
Automation & Scripting: Assists in writing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve system efficiency.
Requirements:
Technical background with a degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience in an IT system support role.
Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policies, and basic network services like DNS, DHCP, and NTP.
Familiarity with PowerShell for scripting and basic system administration tasks.
Understanding of virtualization technologies (such as VMware vSphere) and cloud fundamentals (Microsoft Azure) is highly appreciated.
Basic understanding of network security, system hardening, and TCP/IP networks.
Knowledge of Mac OS operating System and MDM systems is highly appreciated.
Strong analytical mindset, proactive problem-solving attitude, and ability to prioritize tasks under stress.
Good communication skills, a team-player spirit, and high motivation to learn and specialize in infrastructure systems.
Good knowledge of written and spoken English
