Work Performed

Teach 24 semester hours per academic year; follow university policies related to instruction; attend and participate in departmental and university functions; and serve on committees as required. Quality teaching experience is required, preferably in K-12 education and/or higher education.
The physical education faculty teaches a broad range of PE courses, including methods courses, skill development courses for PE students, general physical activity courses open to all students, and sport science courses such as measurement and evaluation, movement analysis, and strength & conditioning programming. Many of the sport science and skill development courses are cross-referenced with the Sport Coaching minor. The faculty member may also teach in the MEd program for Physical Education and Sport Coaching if they have a terminal degree.
