Kansas City: Learning Center Assistant
Summary
Assists at a Kansas City youth center by planning programs, coordinating transportation, and building relationships with at-risk youth in the afternoons and evenings.
Position Summary: This employment opportunity is a part-time position of dedication, service, caring, and compassion for helping at-risk youth in our Kansas City HALO Center through program planning and youth relationship building. This position consists of afternoon and evening, Monday through Friday, 20 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate with HALO Center Program Manager to transport HALO youth to and from Center programs

Collaborate with Center Facilitator and volunteer teams to plan and facilitate HALO Art & Life Skill lesson plans to youth residing in partnering shelters and within HALO Center

Coordinating meal donations to accompany programs, creating a welcoming environment for meal volunteers and youth participants at all times

Track youth participation and retention in the Center to support program outcomes via Apricot

Organize donations and lead thank you process for HALO Center Pantry and Power Pack supplies

Assist with special events and projects as necessary
