Key Account Executive – Modern Trade (FMCG)

Our client is a well-established company in the FMCG food industry, specialising in food products including meat and seafood.

Working Days: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Location: North area

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and develop key modern trade accounts
• Maintain regular engagement with retailer buyers and Category Managers to maximise sales, distribution and merchandising opportunities.
• Manage monthly sales forecasting, planning and key account activities.
• Propose new product listings, product extensions and range upgrades within key accounts.
• Plan, negotiate and execute new product launches, promotional campaigns and price adjustments.
• Prepare and manage promotional calendars and trade expenses in line with business and brand strategies.
• Monitor execution performance, including product range, stock availability, pricing, brand location and share of shelf.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Logistics, Ordering and Marketing teams to resolve supply chain, customer service and retail-related issues.
• Conduct post-promotion analysis to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor competitor products and pricing, particularly within the meat and seafood categories, and provide insights to support pricing strategies.
• Prepare regular sales, market and opportunity reports.
• Gather and analyse competitor intelligence and market trends.
• Conduct store visits to monitor merchandising, pricing, stock availability and overall execution when required.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Strong Modern Trade experience within the FMCG food industry is required.
• Experience handling food products, particularly meat and seafood, will be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of key account management, retail sales and modern trade operations.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Analytical with strong financial acumen and proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Class 3 driving licence with own vehicle is preferred.
