Description

SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Jeff Wyler Kia of Fairfield

YOU FIX CARS. WE’LL TRY NOT TO BREAK YOUR TOOLS.

Are you the kind of person who hears a strange noise from a vehicle and immediately thinks:

“I know exactly what that is.”

Do you enjoy turning “What the heck is wrong with this thing?” into “Fixed it.”

Do you own more tools than you own furniture?

Perfect.

Jeff Wyler Kia of Fairfield is looking for a talented, hardworking, and motivated Service Technician to join our team.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around a vehicle, takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and understands that a good technician doesn't just replace parts — they diagnose the problem.

YOUR MISSION

Keep our customers' vehicles running safely, reliably, and properly.

Simple, right?

Well...sometimes.

You'll diagnose, maintain, repair, inspect, and occasionally have a conversation with a vehicle that goes something like:

“Okay. You and I are going to figure this out.”

And then you do.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform routine maintenance and scheduled services.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns.

  • Perform brake, suspension, steering, and other automotive repairs.

  • Perform inspections and identify necessary repairs.

  • Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify vehicle concerns.

  • Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership standards.

  • Complete repairs accurately and efficiently.

  • Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations to the Service Advisor.

  • Perform quality-control checks on completed repairs.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.

  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.

  • Properly use and maintain shop equipment and tools.

  • Stay current on vehicle technology, repair procedures, and training.

  • Work with fellow technicians, Service Advisors, Parts, and Management to keep the shop moving.

  • Occasionally explain to someone why “I saw a YouTube video” isn't necessarily a factory-approved repair procedure.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a technician who is:

A Problem Solver

You don't just throw parts at a problem and hope for the best.

Detail-Oriented

You know the difference between “fixed” and “fixed correctly.”

Reliable

When you're scheduled to be here, you're here. Revolutionary concept, we know.

Efficient

You understand that productivity matters — but not at the expense of quality.

Safety-Minded

You understand that the vehicle leaving your bay has someone's family riding in it.

Team-Oriented

You know that a great Service Department works together.

Always Learning

Vehicles are getting smarter, more computerized, and more complicated. You don't plan on being left behind.
