OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

As Kids Club Manager, you will design, manage, and execute dynamic, safe, and engaging childcare and youth programs across Bahrain Surf Park. Reporting to the Head of Guest Experience, you will oversee the daily operations of the Kids Club facility, beach play zones, youth surf camps, themed workshops, and seasonal family events.

You play a pivotal role in creating memorable, safe, and educational experiences for young guests while providing parents with total peace of mind. You will lead a dedicated team of childcare attendants and activity leaders, ensuring uncompromising child safety protocols, high activity standards, creative programming, and warm hospitality aligned with the Aloha Spirit.



ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Strategy & Activity Leadership

  • Program Development: Conceptualize, launch, and evaluate age-appropriate recreational, educational, and creative activity schedules for children aged 3–12 (e.g., arts & crafts, mini surf camps, beach games, environmental awareness).
  • Event Planning: Organize and run themed holiday programs, seasonal camps, birthday parties, and family-oriented weekend events in coordination with the Marketing and Events teams.
  • Active Engagement: Lead key daily sessions directly on the floor, fostering an energetic, encouraging, and inclusive environment for kids of all backgrounds and skill levels.

Child Safety, Hygiene & Operations Management

  • Child Safeguarding & Security: Establish and enforce strict child drop-off/pick-up protocols, attendance logging, child identification tags, and child safeguarding policies.
  • Health & First Aid Compliance: Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and safety across all kids' indoor and outdoor play equipment; ensure prompt, certified first aid response for minor bumps or illnesses.
  • Facility Maintenance: Inspect play areas, soft play zones, and game rooms daily to eliminate safety hazards and ensure all toys, supplies, and equipment are clean and in working order.

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Staff Supervision & Rostering: Recruit, onboard, schedule, and lead Kids Club attendants, activity hosts, and seasonal camp counselors.
  • Coaching & Training: Conduct regular team training in child development basics, safety protocols, emergency evacuation procedures, conflict resolution, and customer service.
  • Budget & Inventory Management: Manage the Kids Club operational budget, tracking inventory of craft supplies, toys, sports gear, and snacks, reordering materials as required.

Parent Relations & Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Parent Communication: Build strong, positive relationships with parents, gathering feedback, addressing individual care preferences or dietary needs, and handling concerns professionally.
  • Inter-Department Coordination: Work closely with Guest Services, Lifeguards, Surf Academy, F&B, and Marketing teams to integrate kids' activities into wider park operations and promotions.





Qualifications

ü Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Primary Teaching, Child Development, Recreation Management, or related field (required).

ü Certified Child First Aid, CPR, and AED (required).

ü Background check / Child Safeguarding clearance certificate (required).

ü Fluent in English; Arabic fluency is a strong advantage.

Experience

ü Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience managing kids' clubs, youth camps, early childhood centers, or resort recreation programs, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

ü Demonstrated background in curriculum/activity planning, event management, and child safety compliance.

ü Experience working in high-end hospitality, resort facilities, theme parks, or sports complexes.

ü Deep understanding of child development stages, child psychology, and safeguarding protocols.

ü Excellent creative, organizational, and event-planning skills.

ü Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with both children and adults.

ü Warm, patient, empathetic, and solution-oriented mindset embodying the Aloha Spirit.

ü Strong composure and de-escalation skills when handling child or parent anxiety.

ü Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, school holidays, and public holidays.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

ü Parent & Guest CSAT: Maintain a 90%+ parent satisfaction rating on Kids Club safety, activities, and staff engagement.

ü Child Safety Record: Zero major child safety incidents, lost-child occurrences, or unrecorded pick-ups.

ü Program Participation: Growth in Kids Club daily attendance, birthday party bookings, and seasonal camp enrollments.

ü Audit & Hygiene Scores: Achieve a minimum 95% score on routine facility safety and hygiene audits.

ü Staff Retention & Engagement: Maintain high team morale with annual turnover below 15%.
