Kindergarten, Recess/Lunch and Instructional Paraprofessional

Hours: 4 hours (8:30-12:30 on student contact days)
Class: IV
Starting Rate of Pay: $21.44
Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional Contract

Position Description:
The person in this position will support K-5 students in their classroom. In addition, this person would be part of a lunch, and recess paraprofessional team for grades K-5. The successful candidate will work 4.0 hours a day and have the chance to support the academic, social and behavioral learning of students. Examples of duties include maintaining a safe, friendly and supportive classroom, lunchroom and playground; supervision of an entire classroom; small group work/support; and 1:1 student support and assessment.

Qualifications:
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school environment
• Strong ability to make and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues
• Strong ability to multitask and supervise students in environments that are highly engaging and dynamic
• Flexibility, patience and collaborative as a team player
• Ability to take feedback and direction
