In the Kitchen Assistant role, you won't just prep and clean, you will be a key ingredient in a busy and experienced kitchen team that delivers exceptional support to our Residents.

The purpose of this job
Located in Waikanae on the Kāpiti Coast, Bupa Winara Care Home enjoys beautiful views of Kāpiti Island and the Reikorangi Valley. Care options include Rest Home, Hospital, and Dementia Care.
As a Kitchen Assistant you will:
- Assist with food preparation
- Undertake General kitchen duties (dishwashing and cleaning)
- Adhere to Hygiene and food safety standards
- Maintain confidentiality
- Follow Health and Safety procedures
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role, but full training and development will be provided
- Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
- Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents
- Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends
- Reliable transport and travel arrangements
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
