Kitchen Assistant/Cook | Healthcare

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals for residents and staff.
• Prepare meals according to special or therapeutic dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is stored at the correct temperature.
• Label food properly and monitor expiry dates.
• Assist with meal serving and distribution.
• Support menu planning and meal preparation activities.
• Minimize food wastage through proper portion control and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work areas.
• Follow and promote food safety procedures.
• Clean kitchen equipment, workstations, and dispose of waste appropriately.

Requirements

• GCE O-Level or equivalent qualification.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene preferred).
• At least 2 years of relevant kitchen or food preparation experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Able to work in a team and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
