Job Summary
You will provide excellent customer service by guiding diners through the menu, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, managing orders and payments accurately, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.
Responsibilities
- Explain menu items clearly to help diners make informed meal choices and identify opportunities to upsell
- Organize and manage multiple tables efficiently, maintaining focus to remember orders and customer needs
- Communicate customer orders, special dietary needs, and requests promptly to kitchen and bar staff
- Greet customers warmly and create a positive dining experience from seating to payment
- Perform front-of-house tasks such as setting tables, removing dinnerware, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
- Clean tables and dining areas promptly, including tidying spills to maintain a safe environment
- Process sales accurately, present checks to customers at appropriate times, and handle payments securely
- Safeguard customer payment details by managing credit cards, signature slips, and change responsibly
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with servers, chefs, and hosts to communicate meal progress and maintain efficient restaurant operations
