Kitchen Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the overall operations of our restaurant kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment that contributes to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. As Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for general food preparation support, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas, assisting with waste disposal, and ensuring that kitchen surfaces and floors remain clear and safe at all times. You will also collaborate closely with the Maintenance team on back-of-house upkeep and organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties as directed by the culinary team.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Ensure kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces are kept clean, clear, and safe at all times.
- Dispose of waste properly and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Support with the organization and cleanliness of storage areas.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure kitchen equipment and back-of-house areas are kept in good working condition.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards as outlined by the company.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an international fine dining or high-end food and beverage operation.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and food safety standards.
- Ability to take direction, work efficiently, and maintain a high level of cleanliness under pressure.
- A team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling manual tasks.
