Opening in July 2026, Heirloom is a coastal kitchen and dining space nestled within a stunning new retirement living community just south of Sydney. With sweeping waterfront views, a Mediterranean soul, and a deep love for shared stories and slow meals, Heirloom is where old traditions meet new memories—open to the public, but grounded in the lives of our residents, their families, and friends.

We’re looking for a Full-time Kitchenhand to join our founding team—people who enjoy keeping a kitchen humming, care about the little details, and love being part of something fresh and welcoming.

Your opportunity

Role commencing from July 2026 – Full-time - Must be available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (Lunch and Dinner) and Sundays (Lunch only)

Based at our new Heirloom Restaurant at Taren Point, you’ll support the kitchen team in creating memorable dining experiences for residents, guests, and the local community.

Working alongside our chefs and hospitality team, you’ll:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment

  • Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, and food preparation areas

  • Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient handling

  • Safely store food and supplies in line with hygiene and HACCP standards

  • Dispose of waste correctly and maintain cleanliness in waste areas

  • Support your teammates and jump in wherever you’re needed

What you’ll bring

  • Previous kitchenhand, catering, or food services experience (or willingness to learn)

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Food Safety Certificate desirable)

  • A reliable, positive, and team-focused attitude

  • The ability to work efficiently and stay calm during busy service times

  • A genuine interest in food, teamwork, and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in café, restaurant, or aged care kitchen settings
