Location: John Lewis Glasgow
Contract Type: Full-time 30h (up to 45 hours per week)

Job Purpose

This role encompasses working any days of the week, with regular weekend work. You will offer the highest standard of service, providing a positive and efficient customer experience by preparing and serving quality food and beverages, whilst ensuring the smooth running of the location. This is predominantly back of house, taking responsibility for the compliance and back of house operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the customer experience is maintained to the highest standard at all times.
  • To ensure food safety compliance including any allergen, temperature checks and administration is completed.
  • To be responsible for a specific area or food offering, with flexibility to rotate to a new area if needed.
  • To organise deliveries, checking delivery notes, and reporting any discrepancies.
  • To support the management in the delivery of weekly stock variance targets and food cost.
  • Ensure all dishes and menu items are produced consistently in line with the specification.
  • To carry out daily team briefings and assist with any team queries.
  • To ensure all legislative and government guidelines are adhered to, such as Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.
  • To work on tills, following the cash handling procedures, taking orders and serving food and drinks.
  • To assist with the development of the team, providing training where required, especially on the areas of the food and beverage service, supporting management in the delivery of labour effectiveness targets.
  • To attend all training and development course as requested.
  • To always represent WSH and John Lewis in a professional manner in your behaviour, appearance and knowledge.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.
