Kitchen Maintenance Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing, performing, and coordinating all maintenance and repair activities for commercial kitchen equipment across multiple properties. This role ensures that all kitchen operations remain safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards by managing a team of technicians, prioritizing work orders, and supporting long-term equipment strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment across all assigned properties.
- Lead, supervise, and schedule a team of in-house technicians and support staff.
- Perform hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance as needed.
- Ensure all equipment—both front-of-house and back-of-house—remains in safe working condition and meets operational requirements.
- Manage work order flow, prioritize requests, and ensure timely completion through the CMMS (Hotsos).
- Coordinate with property leaders, culinary teams, and facilities departments to support operational needs and minimize downtime.
- Oversee vendor relationships, external repairs, and contracted services when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, sanitation, and equipment standards.
- Develop preventive maintenance programs and equipment care strategies to extend asset life.
- Track maintenance costs, budgets, and equipment performance data, providing recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
- Support procurement of replacement parts, equipment, and tools while managing inventory levels.
- Train team members in proper maintenance techniques, safety procedures, and equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Participate in capital planning and provide technical guidance on new equipment installations and project scopes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees per approved casino policies; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
