Kitchen Manager

30hop in Ankeny, IA is looking for an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to help lead our back-of-house team during nights and weekends!

30hop is a full-service American restaurant and bar with locations across Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. We're known for great food, craft beer, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Our teams are at the heart of what we do and help create a great experience for our Guests every day.

We're looking for a confident kitchen leader who takes pride in food quality, kitchen organization, and supporting their team during busy shifts.

Pay

Starting at $20-$23 per hour, with higher pay based on experience.

• Night and weekend availability required

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support kitchen staff during evening and weekend shifts
• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Oversee food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and sanitation standards
• Provide coaching and feedback to kitchen team members
• Monitor kitchen operations to support efficiency and control food waste
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen
• Communicate with the Executive Chef and restaurant management to ensure smooth and timely service
• Complete required kitchen documentation and operational records
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Previous professional kitchen experience required
• Previous kitchen leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Night and weekend availability required
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Comfortable working around heat, steam, and commercial kitchen equipment
