We’re seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our award-winning culinary team at Gilpin Spice, the vibrant Pan-Asian restaurant within Gilpin Hotel & Lake House. Michelin-recommended and renowned for its open kitchen theatre, bold flavours, and luxurious yet playful approach to Asian cuisine, Gilpin Spice offers an inspiring platform for culinary creativity.
🍽️ What You’ll Be Doing as a Kitchen Porter:
Keeps our vibrant kitchen spotless and running smoothly.
Operates dishwashing equipment and manages kitchen waste.
Supports chefs with deliveries and basic prep when needed.
Maintains hygiene and safety standards with precision.
Acts as a reliable, upbeat presence in a fast-paced environment.
Reports maintenance issues promptly.
🔪 What We’re Looking For:
A hard-working team player with great attention to detail.
Someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys a buzzing kitchen.
A passion for cleanliness and presentation.
A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and time management skills.
Previous kitchen porter experience in a fine dining setting is a bonus, but full training is provided.

Salary: from £29,952 to £30,2654
Gratuities are allocated on a points basis, depending on development tiers. Although variable, average levels are projected as being from £234 to £351 per month.
