Position: Kitchen Support Staff

Location: Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Gagetown, Oromocto, New Brunswick

Positions Available: 8

Schedule: Thursday to Monday

Shifts:

• Early Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM – 4 Positions
  

• Late Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM – 4 Positions
  

Job Description

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchen Support Staff to join our team at CFB Gagetown in Oromocto, New Brunswick. Successful candidates will assist with food preparation, kitchen cleaning, meal service, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Candidates should be able to consistently work their assigned shift and follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties.
  

• Support meal service, including serving and portioning food.
  

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
  

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, work surfaces, and equipment.
  

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
  

• Receive, store, and organize food supplies as required.
  

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
  

• Assist kitchen staff and supervisors with general kitchen duties.
  

• Complete assigned tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  

• Report any safety, equipment, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  

Requirements

• Previous kitchen, food service, dishwashing, or cleaning experience is preferred.
  

• English communication skills are required.
  

• Valid CPIC (Criminal Record Check) is required before starting.
  

• Must be available to work Thursday to Monday.
  

• Ability to consistently work the assigned early or late shift.
  

• Reliable and punctual with good attendance.
  

• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  

• Ability to perform physical kitchen duties for an extended period.
  

• Reliable transportation to CFB Gagetown is preferred.
  

Dress Code

• Black top with sleeves – no tank tops.
  

• Black pants – no leggings.
  

• Non-slip, closed-toe footwear is mandatory.
  

• Clothing must be properly fitted and not loose.
  

• Uniform/work clothing must not be worn to or from the workplace.
