As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Zaandam.

As Backend Engineer, your main tasks will include:

Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs for enterprise applications;
Building and optimizing AI-driven systems, including automation and chatbot solutions;
Integrating new features into large-scale systems and ensuring seamless data processing;
Taking end-to-end ownership of backend systems, from design to deployment and maintenance;
Collaborating with development teams to implement scalable and reliable solutions;
Ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability of backend infrastructure.

Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 3 years of work experience as a Backend Engineer.
Fluency in Dutch and English is a must.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Maven.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis.
Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Kafka, and cloud-based backend systems.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Proactive attitude with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
