JOB OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: Kraken M2C Solution Architect
JOB LOCATION: Melbourne, VIC (Hybrid)
JOB DURATION: 12 months
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong utilities and Meter-to-Cash expertise, including hands-on experience with Kraken implementations or conversions, to support a major transformation program.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale utility transformation initiatives, designing scalable end-to-end solutions across smart metering, customer, billing and meter data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end Meter-to-Cash solution architectures across the utilities landscape.
- Define integration strategies across CIS, MDM, CRM and billing platforms.
- Lead architecture workshops and solution design sessions with clients and stakeholders.
- Design scalable solutions capable of processing high-volume smart meter data.
- Develop architecture blueprints, solution designs and technology roadmaps.
- Provide architecture governance throughout project delivery.
- Work closely with product, technology and business teams to ensure solution alignment.
- Drive the adoption of AI and automation aligned with the product and transformation strategy.
- Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and cross-system considerations.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to utility clients throughout major transformation programs.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong domain expertise across utilities, Meter-to-Cash, smart metering and Meter Data Management (MDM).
- Proven experience with Kraken, particularly implementation, conversion or migration programs.
- Strong understanding of utility platforms, systems, integrations and end-to-end business processes.
- Experience working within Agile environments with iterative development, configuration and deployment cycles.
- Strong systems-thinking capability, with the ability to navigate complex cross-system dependencies.
- Hands-on delivery experience across large-scale, multi-year software migrations or transformation programs, particularly within utility distributors.
- Strong understanding of global utility markets, smart metering networks and complex billing/regulatory environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead architecture discussions and influence senior stakeholders.
