Patient Care Technician

Accountable To: Director of Nursing

The Patient Care Technician is a staff member who maintains the stocking of equipment/supplies, cleaning of the Center, and assisting the nurses and Surgical Technicians in preparation for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedure duties as needed.

Responsibilities:
Patient Care Technician duties will consist of, but are not limited to:

• Stocking of new deliveries (supplies and equipment).
• Daily checks with stocking the Center in its entirety.
• Cleaning and room turnovers of the ORs per the Center’s policy and procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning in the ORs.
• Assisting with general duties asked for by the other staff members.
• Assist with moving patients from Pre-OP to OR and from PACU to their vehicles
• Assist front desk with their duties including giving breaks
• Always be professional and courteous.
• Follow HIPAA privacy guidelines.
• Multi-tasker, team player, adaptable, and organized a must.
• All other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing.
