KYC Analyst
You will review new and existing customers through KYC and CDD checks, verify documents, assess risk, and support corporate KYB and UBO verification. You will disposition screening alerts, review transaction monitoring cases, perform source of funds checks, maintain audit ready records, answer customer queries, and help improve procedures and training materials.
Responsibilities
- Conduct KYC and CDD reviews for new and existing customers
- Verify identities and documents and assign customer risk ratings
- Assist with KYB and UBO verification
- Disposition PEP sanctions and adverse media screening alerts
- Document alert decisions and escalate confirmed or ambiguous hits
- Review transaction monitoring alerts and perform basic source of funds checks
- Support investigations into unusual activity
- Maintain accurate audit ready case files
- Escalate potential SAR and STR triggers
- Support periodic reviews remediation exercises and licensing related data requests
- Improve KYC procedures checklists and training materials
- Handle KYC related customer queries and RFIs within SLA
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in KYC AML screening operations fraud or financial crime
- Working knowledge of KYC CDD and EDD processes
- Knowledge of PEP sanctions and adverse media screening
- Ability to write clear alert dispositions and escalation notes in English
- Experience with IDV screening platforms and case management tools
- Ability to follow procedures in a fast changing environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate appropriately
- GDPR awareness
- Strong professional English communication
- Experience with Sumsub Onfido World Check ComplyAdvantage or OpenSanctions
- Exposure to Chainalysis Elliptic or TRM
- Awareness of AMLD AMLR MiCA and the Travel Rule
- Experience with UBO identification and corporate KYB
- ACAMS Associate or ICA Certificate in AML or willingness to pursue certification
- General crypto and blockchain knowledge
