Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced L2 F5 Network Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise-grade load-balancing infrastructure. The candidate will provide L2 support for F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM), ensuring high availability, performance, and secure application traffic flow across data centers in a regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for incidents and service requests related to DMZ Server Load Balancers (SLB) and Global Server Load Balancers (GSLB).
• Perform health checks, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of F5 BIG-IP devices.
• Configure and manage virtual servers, server pools, pool members, and iRules.
• Execute approved changes related to load balancing, network connectivity, and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex application traffic flow, DNS, TCP/IP, and load-balancing issues.
• Support F5 BIG-IP software upgrades, patching, and hardware maintenance.
• Work with L1/L3 teams, application teams, and other stakeholders to resolve incidents.
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement containment and remediation actions.
• Support network security compliance, audits, and vulnerability remediation.
• Ensure secure application traffic flow through DMZ environments and across multiple data centers.
• Follow change management, incident management, and security compliance procedures.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers.
• In-depth knowledge of F5 LTM and GTM.
• Knowledge of Server Load Balancing (SLB) and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSL/TLS.
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF.
• Understanding of VPNs and network connectivity.
• Experience in L2 troubleshooting, incident analysis, and root cause identification.

Education

BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT, BCA/MCA, or a Master's degree in Computer Science/IT.

Mandatory Certifications

Candidates must hold the required two certifications as specified by the client:

• One networking/security certification: CEH / CCNA / CCNP (Routing & Switching).
• One OEM F5 certification: F5-CTS / F5-CSE.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience supporting enterprise F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM environments, preferably in banking or other highly regulated environments, will be suitable for this role.

Work Requirement: Willingness to work in 247 rotational shifts.
