We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Onsite Engineer to join our IT support team for one of our clients. In this role, you will diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues across the organization, providing exceptional customer service to users of varying technical knowledge.
1. Hardware Preparation
Device Provisioning: Assign and log physical assets like laptops, monitors, and peripherals (keyboards, mice, headsets)
Physical Inspection: Perform a hardware check to confirm the camera, microphone, and all physical ports are functional.
Asset Tagging: Apply company asset tags and document the assignment for inventory tracking.
Should have the basic knowledge of Intune
2. Software & Security Configuration
System Imaging: Apply the appropriate corporate desktop image (OS) to ensure the device meets company standards.
Application Installation: Install required productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams) and role-specific software.
Updates: Ensure the Operating System and all installed drivers are fully patched and up to date.
3. Account & Access Provisioning
Permissions: Grant access to shared network drives, specific VPN groups, and necessary cloud applications based on their role.
MFA Enrollment: Initiate Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup to secure user logins from day one.
Connectivity Testing: Verify the device successfully connects to the company Wi-Fi and VPN.
Documentation: Log the completed setup in the ServiceNow ticketing system for record-keeping.
Key Points to agree:
Office Timing and Attendance should be maintained (8.5hrs per day)
Candidate to maintain professionalism and a calm attitude when dealing with users, especially when they are facing some issue.
Employees should have car and driving licenses and open to travel the client locations based on the scheduled calendar.
