L1 SSHO

Position Title: Site Safety & Health Officer, Level 1 (L1 SSHO)

Area of Requirement: Primary MTF site with oversight for safety at all supported MTF locations.

Scope:

Responsible for implementing the safety and occupational health program for O&M activities.

Duties:

• Prepares and enforces Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
• Conducts daily site safety inspections and hazard analysis.
• Leads toolbox talks, JHAs, and AHAs.
• Reports incidents, investigates accidents, and recommends corrective actions.
• Coordinates with Government Safety personnel and enforces EM 385-1-1 compliance.

Mandatory Experience & Certifications:

• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training.
• Five years of cumulative safety experience in past 10 years on similar projects.
• 24 hours of SOH training within past five years, renewed every three years.

Preferred / Desirable Certifications:

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).

Language Proficiency:

• English – Level III proficiency.
• Japanese – Level III proficiency Speak, Write and Understand Japanese
