L2 – Network Data Engineer

Summary

Designs, configures, and troubleshoots enterprise LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and data-center networks using Cisco, A10, and security tools.

We are seeking a skilled L2 Network Data Engineer to join our team and support enterprise network infrastructure across data center, LAN/WAN, and SD-WAN environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Cisco networking technologies, network security, routing and switching, and load balancing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and data center network environments.
  • Support routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, IPSEC, GRE, DMVPN, and PBR.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco routers, Catalyst/Nexus switches, ASA/FTD firewalls, and A10 load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security, ensuring optimal service delivery.
  • Support network segmentation, standardization, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide timely resolution of complex network issues.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in Network Administration and Engineering.
  • Hands‑on expertise with Cisco, F5, Riverbed, Viptela, Opengear, Zscaler, A10, and Silver Peak SD-WAN technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, data center networking, load balancing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cisco ISR/ASR routers and Catalyst/Nexus switches.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
