L2 Network Engineer – Fortinet / Palo Alto
Salary: RM 3,000 – RM 4,200 per month
About the role
We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer to provide onsite network operations and technical support. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Fortinet/Palo Alto firewalls, routing, switching, VPN, SD-WAN, and enterprise network troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
Handle L2 network incidents and escalations within SLA
Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, VPN, SD-WAN and connectivity issues
Manage Fortinet/Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT and VPN
Perform RCA, network changes, upgrades and maintenance
Monitor network performance and infrastructure health
Support LAN/WAN/MPLS/ISP connectivity
Coordinate with vendors, ISPs and internal technical teams
Provide onsite support during critical incidents and planned maintenance
Support after-hours/weekend activities when required
About you
3–5 years of Network Engineering/Network Operations experience
Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet and/or Palo Alto
Good knowledge of VLAN, STP, OSPF; basic BGP/EIGRP
Experience with VPN, IPSec, SSL VPN and SD-WAN
Enterprise network troubleshooting experience
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
CCNA preferred; CCNP/Fortinet/Palo Alto certifications are an advantage
