Requirements:- Extensive working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Greenplum databases
- Postgres database provisioning, maintenance, and upgrades
- Greenplum data migrations using gpcopy
- Greenplum performance optimization using statistics and database bloat management
- Experience with GPTEXT and Greenplum utilities such as gpload, PXF, and GP Spark
- Knowledge of data lakes, data structures, and data models suited to Snowflake architecture
- Snowflake modeling, including roles, schemas, and databases
- SQL and complex query writing
- Scripting expertise in Shell, Python, and Ansible
- Expertise in Patroni for HADR and streaming replication
- Cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Work with Snowflake internals and integrate Snowflake with other data processing technologies
- Build data ingestion pipelines with tools such as Informatica and Talend
- Manage data from sources including JSON, XML, and CSV
- Tune and optimize performance across Postgres, Snowflake, and Greenplum
- Develop and maintain backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
- Perform data migrations using gpcopy and other tools while minimizing downtime and data loss
- Manage database bloat and use statistics for performance optimization
- Use GPTEXT to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ensure database security, compliance, and adherence to best practices
- Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Develop Shell, Python, and Ansible scripts to automate routine database tasks and improve operational efficiency
