L3 Network Engineer
Salary: $7,000 – $9,000 per month
Contract Duration: 6-Month Contract Renewable
Working Hour: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Engineer to deliver enterprise network and security projects and provide advanced technical support for managed services and NOC operations. The role involves network design, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring and automation across multi-vendor environments.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver network and security projects across LAN, WAN, Data Centre and hybrid cloud environments.
Perform network deployment, configuration, migration, upgrade and cutover activities.
Design and implement scalable, resilient and secure network architectures.
Prepare HLD/LLD, MOPs, implementation plans, rollback procedures and as-built documentation.
Provide L3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning and network optimization.
Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, MPLS, SD-WAN, VXLAN and IPsec VPN.
Implement and support security solutions including Palo Alto, Fortinet and Check Point firewalls, NAT, IDS/IPS, segmentation and secure access controls.
Support SIEM and log integration, including QRadar, where required.
Deploy and integrate network infrastructure with monitoring platforms, including NetGain Systems Cloud Vista / EMedge.
Configure and manage SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, telemetry, alert thresholds and monitoring policies.
Support infrastructure onboarding into managed services and NOC environments, including operational handover and knowledge transfer.
Develop automation using Python, Bash and Ansible for configuration deployment, monitoring onboarding, health checks and reporting.
Work with NOC teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and operational acceptance.
Requirements
5–10 years of relevant network engineering experience, including 3 or more years of network project delivery experience.
Hands-on experience in enterprise or multi-site network environments.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, VLAN and STP.
Experience with MPLS, SD-WAN, IPsec VPN and Data Centre networking.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet or Check Point firewalls.
Experience with network monitoring and NMS technologies, including SNMP, Syslog and NetFlow.
Experience with Python, Bash and/or Ansible for network automation.
Experience in managed services or NOC environments is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
CCNP or equivalent certification.
Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 4/NSE 7 or ITIL Foundation certifications are an advantage.
