Required Qualifications and Skills
1. Data Testing and Data Project Experience
8–10 years of overall experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test management.
Strong experience in testing data-related projects, particularly involving:
Data Warehouses
Data Lakes
ETL/ELT processes and pipelines
Data Integration and Data Transformation
Analytics and Reporting Solutions
Proven experience managing or executing complex data testing initiatives.
Strong understanding of data quality, data validation, and data integrity principles.
2. Banking, Financial Services, and FinTech Experience
Experience working in the banking, financial services, or FinTech industry is highly preferred.
Proven experience managing or executing testing projects involving banking systems, financial applications, or financial technology platforms.
Good understanding of banking operations, financial services processes, and financial data environments.
Experience testing financial data, transactions, customer information, account data, financial reporting, and data reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with banking data platforms, financial data warehouses, regulatory reporting, and data integration initiatives.
Experience validating complex financial data transformations, business rules, calculations, and data integrity across multiple source systems.
Exposure to projects involving digital banking, core banking systems, payment platforms, lending systems, or financial data modernization is an advantage.
3. SQL and Data Validation
Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write and execute complex queries for data validation and reconciliation.
Experience validating complex source-to-target data transformations, aggregations, and business rules.
Ability to identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Experience performing data profiling, reconciliation, and large-volume data validation.
4. ETL/ELT and Cloud Data Platform Testing
Hands-on experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows using modern cloud-based data platforms.
Understanding of data ingestion, transformation, processing, and integration workflows.
Experience validating data pipelines across different stages of the data lifecycle.
At least one (1) year of hands-on experience in testing Databricks environments and data solutions.
5. Performance and Scalability Testing
Experience planning and executing performance, scalability, and large-volume data testing.
Ability to assess data processing performance and identify bottlenecks in ETL/ELT pipelines.
Understanding of performance considerations for large-scale data processing and analytics environments.
6. Test Management and SDLC
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
Ability to manage testing schedules, estimates, resources, deliverables, and execution progress.
Proven experience providing effort estimates and regular status updates on testing activities and automation scripts.
Experience in defect management, test reporting, and quality assurance governance.
7. Leadership and Stakeholder Management
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate testing progress, risks, issues, and results.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leadership.
Capable of working independently and taking ownership of assigned testing initiatives.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple testing priorities.
8. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when investigating complex data and financial discrepancies.
Ability to identify root causes, recommend solutions, and drive issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end testing activities for data-related projects, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics solutions.
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
Oversee data validation and testing activities to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.
Manage source-to-target data validation, including complex data transformations, aggregations, and business rule validations.
Lead testing of ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows across modern cloud-based data platforms.
Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, performance, scalability, and large-volume data testing.
Utilize SQL to perform data validation, reconciliation, and analysis across source and target systems.
Oversee testing activities on Databricks and ensure data processing workflows meet quality and performance expectations.
Manage testing initiatives involving banking systems, financial applications, financial data platforms, and other FinTech solutions.
Ensure accurate validation of financial transactions, customer information, account data, financial calculations, and data reconciliation processes.
Collaborate with banking and financial business stakeholders to understand business rules, data requirements, and regulatory reporting needs.
Provide accurate effort estimates, resource planning, and delivery timelines for testing activities, including automation scripts.
Monitor testing progress, track defects, identify risks and dependencies, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, solution architects, business analysts, and other project stakeholders to resolve testing issues.
Ensure adherence to established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, testing methodologies, and quality assurance standards.
Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, introduce innovative approaches, and implement best practices.
Prepare and present test reports, quality metrics, testing progress, and project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Work independently while ensuring effective coordination and alignment with cross-functional teams.
