Lab Analyst
Summary
A quality-control Lab Analyst who performs routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods, maintains lab documentation, instruments, and reagent inventory, and supports method development and audits. Work is done under GMP and ISO 17025 in a food/agro-products laboratory in Singapore.
Role & Responsibilities
Product & Method Development:
Support sample preparation for stability studies and method development trials.
Provide data and observations for method improvement under guidance.
Assist in recipe verification testing when required.
Quality Control Operations:
Perform routine testing of RM, intermediates, finished goods and in-process samples.
Record results accurately and ensure compliance with GMP and ISO 17025.
Report abnormalities or nonconformities to Senior Chemist or QC Manager.
Prepare and label samples for third-party labs and retention.
Laboratory Management & Compliance:
Maintain laboratory logbooks, worksheets, and documentation.
Ensure proper calibration of basic instruments (eg: pH meter, balances, viscometer).
Maintain reagent and consumables inventory.
Follow good housekeeping and safety practices.
Support equipment maintenance and verification activities.
Participate in internal audits and corrective actions as assigned.
Business & Cross-Functional Responsibilities:
Support QC data entry and documentation updates.
Assist Production and Warehouse with sampling and QC-related queries.
Provide timely communication on testing delays or issues.
Health, Safety & General Responsibilities:
Follow all QEHS, GMP, and laboratory safety rules.
Handle chemicals properly and ensure correct waste disposal.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform any duties required by Senior Chemist or QC Manager.
Skills & Competencies:
Good laboratory skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of GMP, ISO 17025, and QC procedures.
Ability to follow methods, work safely, and maintain proper documentation.
Role Requirements:
· Degree in Science or Engineering field.
· QC Analyst
- Ability to use test equipment.
- Minimum of 1 year in Lab testing environment.
· All lab related SOPs to be trained.
Working Hours:
· Monday – Friday : 8.15am-5.30pm
