Description

1. Assay Analysis Execution: Perform fire assay (cupellation and parting) and instrumental analysis, such as XRF and ICP-OES, on incoming doré, jewelry scrap, reclaimed materials, process samples, refined bullion, and gold alloys. Accurately determine gold, silver, and other precious-metal content, and report results within the agreed turnaround times.

2. Instrument Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain the laboratory's analytical instruments (ICP-OES and XRF), including routine calibration, performance checks, and preventive maintenance, to keep downtime low and support production without interruption.

3. Quality Control and Compliance: Issue accurate assay reports and certificates and keep complete laboratory records (LIMS or equivalent) so every result is traceable. Apply internal quality control measures such as reference materials, duplicates, and control charts, in line with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and applicable SASO standards.

4. Chemical Safety Management: Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous chemicals, acids, and laboratory waste safely, in line with environmental permits, Civil Defense requirements, and L'azurde's HSE policies.

5. Process Data Support: Provide timely analytical results to refinery operators to help optimize reagent and acid consumption, control process quality, and maximize precious-metal recovery.

6. Precious-Metal Reconciliation: Reconcile laboratory sample weights, assay results, and returned assay residues with vault and inventory records to maintain an unbroken chain of custody for all precious-metal flows.

7. Audit Readiness: Maintain laboratory procedures, records, and calibration logs so the lab is always ready for internal, customer, IMS, and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation assessments.

8. Enterprise Systems and Data Management: Register samples, record results, and issue certificates through the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Update assay, fineness, and metal-balance data in the company’s ERP systems to support production, inventory, and customer reporting while maintaining full data integrity.
