Lab Assistant - Surgical Pathology

What You Will Do:

• **Master the specimen journey:** Take charge of order entry, specimen and material pick-up, transportation, tracking, receipt, and processing—you'll be the MVP keeping everything moving smoothly!
• **Become equipment-savvy:** Operate and maintain pre and post-analytic laboratory equipment, including laboratory automation systems. You'll get to work with cutting-edge tech that makes a real difference.
• **Be the friendly face:** Interact with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers with genuine warmth and professionalism. Your positive attitude and courteous service will brighten everyone's day.
• **Roll up your sleeves (sometimes):** Occasionally perform phlebotomy services when needed at your site—expanding your skills and staying versatile.
• **Navigate like a pro:** Utilize various information systems to complete your tasks efficiently and keep operations running like a well-oiled machine.

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
