Are you a detail-oriented, dependable team player committed to excellent plant performance? Join the KAAPA team as a Lab Manager at our Minden location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Plant, Maintenance, Environmental, and Production Manager daily
- Responsible for all lab equipment
- Maintain lab inventory, fermentation chemical, cooling tower, and boiler chemicals
- All recordkeeping pertaining to the lab and lab functions
- Monitor fermentation data entered computer for accuracy and trends
- Supervise the Lab Technician
- Participate in the budgeting process
- Review all policies and procedures for your department to be sure they are documented and up to date
- Respond and address complaints in a timely and courteous manner
- Attend and participate in supervisor/manager meeting
Working Hours:
- Monday- Friday 8am- 4:30pm with additional hours required throughout the year
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in fuel ethanol plant supervision and processing preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Engineering, Biochemistry, or related college degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Technical ability to understand ethanol production
- Possess a successful track record in managing process facilities in a safe manner
- Experience in interviewing, selecting plant personnel, establishing performance objectives and criteria and conducting performance evaluations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail oriented and multi-tasking skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
