Lab Support Engineer
Title: Process and Hardware Engineer
Reports To: Hardware and Process Engineering Manager
Position Type: Regular, Full-time
Location: San Jose, CA
Tasks:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and cleans of ALD equipment
- Perform system upgrades and retrofits
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair on facilities support equipment such as pumps, chillers, gas cabinets and abatement systems
- Perform gas cylinder and liquid precursor canister change out
- Create documents for tool maintenance procedures and checklists
- Create and update Work Instructions
- Perform Design Reviews pre- and post-build
- Monitor systems, support equipment and facilities parameters and report the system performance and issues
- Electrical, Mechanical Test/troubleshoot system down to component level
- Be able to read gas schematics, BOM structures, manuals, ECNs, etc.
- Work in coordination with Engineering, Software, QA, materials groups, etc.
- Support activities associated with pre-installation, installation, and start-up of ALD deposition equipment
- Perform Final Assembly and Test (FAT)
- Perform programming (Robotics, PLC)
- Support New Product Introductions and transfers including providing training
