Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM

Assignment Details
This is a short-term, one-month assignment in East Hartford, Connecticut and is best suited for someone who can quickly step into a laboratory environment and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician for a one-month contract assignment in East Hartford, Connecticut. This position will perform routine laboratory testing and support day-to-day laboratory operations using conventional and computerized laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow established testing procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and other laboratory work according to prescribed procedures and standards
- Conduct routine testing to determine the chemical and physical characteristics or composition of materials and samples
- Prepare, handle, and organize samples for laboratory testing
- Set up, operate, readjust, and monitor laboratory equipment and instruments
- Utilize both conventional and computerized laboratory equipment and work aids
- Accurately record and document laboratory test results
- Follow established testing methods, procedures, and quality standards
- Identify unusual test results or equipment issues and communicate them appropriately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment
- Follow all applicable laboratory safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- Two years of post-secondary education in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related technical/scientific field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant laboratory experience may be considered
- Previous experience in a chemical, industrial, quality control, or manufacturing laboratory is preferred
- Experience operating laboratory equipment and instruments
- Comfortable working with computerized laboratory systems and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established testing procedures
- Ability to accurately document testing activities and results
