Job Summary:
- Perform and review various routine and complex clinical laboratory tests according to departmental policies and professional standards to include maintenance, calibration and quality control in a cost-effective manner.
- Prepare test reports and notify appropriate healthcare professional of atypical/critical values with documentation.
- Assist with clerk, phlebotomy, specimen processing and pathology assistant functions as needed.
- Assume responsibility for complex problem-solving, exceptions handling, and student clinical training.
- Collect/Process chain of custody urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests.
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
