Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our diagnostic and clinical operations. The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in laboratory procedures, sample handling, equipment maintenance, and quality control. The role requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Collection & Processing

  • Collect, label, and process samples (blood, urine, stool, sputum, etc.) following standard protocols.

  • Ensure proper storage, preservation, and transportation of samples.

  • Maintain accurate sample documentation and logs.

2. Laboratory Testing & Analysis

  • Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests such as hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology.

  • Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment including analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, and incubators.

  • Validate test results and ensure accuracy before reporting.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Conduct daily quality control checks and maintain QC records.

  • Ensure compliance with NABL/ISO standards and internal SOPs.

  • Monitor reagent inventory, expiry dates, and maintain proper storage conditions.

4. Equipment Management

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab instruments.

  • Coordinate with service engineers for equipment repair and servicing.

  • Maintain equipment usage and calibration records.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Update test results in LIS (Laboratory Information System) or manual registers.

  • Prepare documentation required for audits and inspections.

  • Assist in maintaining laboratory safety and biohazard protocols.

6. Safety & Hygiene

  • Follow infection control practices and PPE guidelines.

  • Ensure safe disposal of biomedical waste as per regulatory norms.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the laboratory environment.



Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and diagnostic testing.

  • Experience operating automated analyzers and lab equipment.

  • Good understanding of quality control procedures and NABL standards.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good time-management and multitasking abilities.
